Clayton Police to Debut Blue Uniforms Monday

07/06/2018

On Monday, Clayton Police are switching to a more traditional municipal police uniform: all Navy-Blue!

We’ve been testing different uniforms for nearly a year now – running sample uniforms through rigorous trials. Our modern Clayton Police Department needs functional, durable, washable, and breathable uniforms to help officers do their jobs better. Thank you for your input when we shared the various options and styles with the public this spring!

We have been wearing the same uniforms for decades so we are officially switching to new uniforms that boast internal cargo pockets and more functional shirt pockets. The darker uniforms are made out of a blended, more breathable, and durable fabric. No longer will we be wearing the light-gray polyester shirts and dark gray pants. We hope you love our new colors!

We want to assure you that you will ALWAYS see our officers in uniforms that display the blue and black Clayton Police patch AND their same Clayton badges pinned to the front WITH their name tags.

Again, thanks for everyone’s support as we updated our uniforms. We look forward to you seeing our team in person in their new navy attire! #KeepersofClayton
